East Face


Kane's original route is that dark corner.


A more obvious (easier) chimney on the East Face

 

Ascend to the top of a large cave on the east face and walk to the south end of it. Exit into a chimney which is awkward for tall people and ascend to a prominent ledge. From here there is a fixed ladder on the upper east face in a chimney. Ascend this or climb the climney. Mantles lead to the summit. Descent is best by the southeast side. Rappel to a ledge that bisects the south face of the peak. A free rappell leads to the bottom. H
