Guggenheim Hall

East Face

This climb though somewhat difficult and exposed is well worth the effort. Begin in a gully on the NW side and mantle into a moat. Step up into the open arch doing a pullup on the strength shield. Cross a small intervening ridge to a window. Step up to a ledge and a long reach enables a tall person to mantle to the Dance Platform on the east face. A ladder can be used to gain access to the upper ledges. For purists however, ascend the window of the mens room and mantle up onto a small ledge thence grabbing the edge of the ledge above. From here ascend a lieback on the edge of the east face. Traverse a knife edge ridge to the main ridge and step across. The descend can be made inside the building. H
